CLIMATOLOGY
Undoubtedly one of the main attractions of the EVEREST TRAIL RACE is the impressive setting in which the race develops.
During stages is possible to see several of the Himalayan giants, such as Everest, Lothse, Ama Dablam, Tamserku, Kagtega, Kongde ... and a number of peaks over 6,000 and 7,000 m. altitude. In many cases, at an overwhelming proximity.
A favorable weather is essential of enjoyment. The most appropriate period covers the months of October and November, marking the beginning of the dry season. During this period, the weather is nice, the air clean, the visibility perfect… and the setting is absolutely spectacular and lush after spending the monsoon.
As part of the dry season, the ETR organization has specifically chosen the race dates when the weather is more favorable from the point of view of both statistical and knowledge of the country, ie, when the days are clearer and weather with the lowest rate of rainfall throughout the year.
