HUMAN ENVIRONMENT & ECOLOGY
One of the main premises and backbone of the race is to respect the natural and human environment. This is a key factor and one of the most important for the Organization. More if it fits in a moment in which attitudes of defense and protection of these resources are absolutely essential.
Our commitment to the territory and its people will force us to do our best. The race wants to be absolutely respectful of the natural and human environment with a friendly use of energy resources as water or any other we need and, of course, leaving the minimum possible signs of our passage. The race is developed in a cultural environment quite different from Western values and customs. We have to respect it and always remember our guest condition in that land.
Because of that, the Organization has established several rules specified in the race regulation, which severely penalizes, with disqualification if necessary, any behavior objectively harmful to human or natural environment. The regulation makes reference to both behavior aspects and waste treatment.
The EVEREST TRAIL RACE Organization appreciates the hospitality of the natural and human environment in which it is carried out.
